Nasi and Mee Whitefield
Southeast Asia Comes Alive In Whitefield
Nasi and Mee unveiled its newest restaurant at Nexus Shantiniketan, Whitefield. This launch marks the brand’s sixth location in Bengaluru and its 10th restaurant overall, a milestone as Nasi and Mee completes 10 years of operations since its inception in 2015. The opening also signals the brand’s return to Whitefield after nearly six years.
To mark the opening of its milestone Whitefield restaurant, Nasi and Mee introduced a special, limited-time menu titled Simply Sedap, a collection that brings together some of the brand’s most loved dishes from the past alongside bold new flavours.
Start with the Xiao Long Bao, offered in two indulgent interpretations, one filled with truffle-infused chicken, and the other with delicate truffle asparagus, elevating the classic soup dumpling with aromatic depth and modern flair. A nod to the brand’s Singaporean hawker centred inspired menu comes through in Chai Tow Kway, the beloved Singaporean radish cake, pan-fried until crisp and fragrant, capturing the essence of street-side wok cooking.
From Indonesia, Ayam Penyet makes a powerful appearance, golden fried chicken, smashed and served with a fiery sambal. Rich, slow-cooked Massaman Curry brings comforting layers of spice and warmth, while Wonton Mee offers a familiar bowl of springy noodles, and delicate dumplings that feel instantly transportive.
To end on a sweet note, the menu turns to a Southeast Asian classic, the Kaya Bun, soft and pillowy, filled with fragrant coconut-egg jam, offering a simple yet deeply satisfying finish.

Together, Simply Sedap is not just a menu, but a reflection of Nasi and Mee’s journey, celebrating the dishes that diners have loved over the years, while continuing to explore new expressions of Southeast Asian flavour.
This Whitefield outpost has a capacity of 79 covers and is also the first Nasi and Mee to feature a true outdoor dining space. That open-air energy carries straight indoors through a series of richly illustrated murals inspired by the street markets and hawker culture of Southeast Asia. Together, they unfold like a visual journey through Chinatown lanes, food streets, and bustling alleys across Bangkok, Singapore, Hanoi and beyond.
Three distinct mural scenes anchor the space. One depicts a Chinese shophouse, where a woman tends to simmering pots of noodles and broth; another captures a hawker stall tucked into a narrow alley, alive with the rhythm of Asian street food; and the third returns to a familiar figure, a lady serving noodles and comforting bowls from her modest, time-worn counter. One can also spot the quiet inhabitants of these streets: alley cats, just as one finds them weaving through the markets of Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, or Bangkok.
At the far end of the space, another mural opens onto a different Southeast Asian scene, one inspired by the markets of Penang and neighbouring food hubs. Throughout, mirrors are used to multiply sightlines and create the illusion of open lanes and winding walkways, reinforcing the feeling that the indoors has been gently folded outward.
Tropical foliage, rattan furniture, and cane-detailed lighting soften the architecture and frame the experience, blurring the boundary between inside and out.
Dilip Krishnan, Co-founder and India CEO, Foodsta Kitchens, parent company of Nasi and Mee said, “Opening our 10th restaurant in the year we complete 10 years makes this Whitefield launch especially meaningful for us. It’s also incredibly special to be back in a neighbourhood that played an important role in our early journey in Bengaluru. Nexus Shantiniketan gives us the perfect setting to celebrate this milestone.”
