Australia is preparing for a major lift in global connectivity, with several airlines announcing new international routes set to launch between October and December 2025. The additions promise easier access for tourists, business travellers and those visiting family abroad, while also strengthening the country’s links with key global markets.

Qantas Airways is leading the charge, adding an Adelaide to Auckland service from October 31, 2025, operating four times a week until May 2026. The airline will also introduce daily Brisbane to Los Angeles flights on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, offering more premium seats, alongside boosting Melbourne to Dallas services to daily departures by December.

Virgin Australia is re-entering the long-haul market with a Sydney to Doha route, opening up connections to more than 170 destinations through its partnership with Qatar Airways.Qatar Airways

China Southern Airlines is set to launch a new service linking Guangzhou and Darwin, operating three times a week, starting from December 3. The route is expected to bring more than 50,000 seats annually, a boost for Northern Australia’s tourism industry.

Meanwhile, Air India will restart its non-stop Delhi to Melbourne flights from September 14, giving travellers easier access between India and Australia at a time of growing demand.

Together, these routes underscore Australia’s commitment to becoming more accessible to the world. For travellers, it means more choice, greater convenience, and new opportunities to explore and connect across continents.
