Global hospitality technology company OYO has announced a strategic partnership with online travel agency Yatra to expand its footprint in the business travel sector, particularly in key commercial hubs such as Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and major industrial centres and transit corridors.
Under this collaboration, over 500 OYO company-serviced hotels have now been listed on Yatra’s platform for the first time. These include properties under mid-premium and premium brands such as SUNDAY, Palette, Clubhouse, Townhouse, Townhouse Oak, and Collection O, catering to business travellers across India. OYO plans to add a further 1,000 company-serviced hotels to Yatra’s offerings by September this year, bolstering Yatra’s inventory, especially in emerging metros where demand for quality accommodation is rapidly increasing due to heightened business travel.
India’s corporate travel expenditure hit $38.2 billion in 2024, reflecting vigorous growth and establishing the country as the eighth-largest business travel market worldwide, and the fourth in the Asia-Pacific region.
The partnership aims to provide high-quality lodging options for the growing number of business travellers in India, particularly within emerging urban centres where demand is fuelled by regional office expansions, economic activity, and enhanced infrastructure.
Yatra’s corporate clients will benefit from OYO’s flexible cancellation and rescheduling policies. Furthermore, OYO offers bespoke corporate solutions, including centralised billing, expense management, GST-compliant invoicing, and dedicated account managers to support bulk travel arrangements. OYO’s company-serviced hotels feature standardised amenities such as clean linen, high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and hygienic washrooms, ensuring a comfortable and dependable stay.
Yatra is recognised as India’s leading provider of corporate travel services, boasting over 800 large corporate clients, including several Fortune 500 firms and more than 10,000 small and medium-sized enterprises. Corporate and B2B travel constitutes approximately 65 per cent of Yatra’s gross bookings, making it a preferred platform for organisations seeking convenient accommodation solutions.
Earlier this year, OYO launched Oravel Travel Solutions—a dedicated B2B corporate travel vertical designed to meet the needs of business clients by offering streamlined check-ins, meal options, conference facilities, event management support, and customised holiday packages. The partnership with Yatra will further strengthen OYO’s business travel offerings by leveraging Yatra’s extensive corporate client base and increasing weekday occupancy in key cities through targeted business travel, which typically generates more stable and higher revenue than leisure stays.
Commenting on the development, Varun Jain, Chief Operating Officer, OYO, said, "While direct demand continues to be our mainstay, contributing nearly 80 per cent of our total business, we are now looking to tap into a niche segment of business travellers who are exploring emerging business hubs. This partnership also opens up opportunities to cater to companies embracing blended travel programs, combining business and leisure, and adopting flexible mobility plans to enhance both cost efficiency and employee productivity."
According to the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the business travel sector is expected to fully recover to pre-2019 expenditure levels by 2025, driven by strong economic growth, rising corporate earnings, and increasing demand for face-to-face meetings. Consequently, the need for quality accommodation options is set to continue rising.
