Pakistan has prolonged the closure of its airspace to flights operated by Indian airlines by an additional month, until August 24, according to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

No aircraft operated by Indian airlines, nor military or civilian flights that are Indian-owned or leased, will be permitted to utilise Pakistani airspace, as stated in a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) that took effect at 15:50 Pakistan Standard Time on Friday.

The ban will remain in force until 05:19 hours on August 24 (India time), the PAA confirmed.

Furthermore, Indian airspace remains closed to all Pakistani aircraft until July 24, following an initial ban implemented on 30 April. This move was part of measures introduced by the Indian government following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which resulted in 26 fatalities.

Pakistan first closed its airspace to Indian aircraft on April 24, and the reciprocal restrictions between the two countries have been extended multiple times since.
