Paradox Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce its Australian debut on July 1, 2025, with the rebranding of Sydney’s historic Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel. Located at 27 O’Connell Street, this iconic sandstone building will embrace a fresh, vibrant vision, honouring its rich heritage.

Owned by TA Global since 1997, the property is a remarkable landmark with a colourful past. Built in 1856, it has served as the home of John Fairfax & Sons, a bank, and a hotel. Since 2000, it has been recognised as a five-star Radisson Blu. Now, as Paradox Sydney, it embarks on a new chapter, blending its storied history with innovative design and distinctive experiences.

Following a $13.5 million refurbishment completed in 2015, Paradox Sydney continues to offer exceptional service, award-winning dining, and luxurious accommodation. The hotel boasts 364 rooms and suites, modern meeting facilities, a wellness centre, and a stylish restaurant and bar within its stunning sandstone façade and contemporary interiors.

In the coming months, the hotel will undergo a gentle refresh to fully embrace the Paradox brand, maintaining full service throughout. Guests can continue to enjoy a seamless experience while witnessing the transformation.
