French Bakery and Café Brand Expands Presence in South India
French bakery and café brand PAUL has entered the Bengaluru market with the launch of its first outlet at Orion Gateway Mall, Rajajinagar. The opening marks the brand’s eighth store in India, following its presence in cities including Mumbai and Delhi.
Situated along the lakeside promenade, the Bengaluru café features an alfresco-inspired setting designed to reflect the atmosphere of Parisian street-side cafés. The outlet is positioned as an all-day dining space catering to breakfasts, coffee breaks, brunches, meetings and solo dining experiences.
The Bengaluru menu focuses on PAUL’s French classics such as croque monsieur, quiche Lorraine, savoury crêpes and canelés, alongside the brand’s range of artisan breads, viennoiseries, tarts and pastries. The café also offers European-inspired dishes including Napoletana pizzas, tartines, handmade pastas, risottos, salads, bowls and gourmet sandwiches.
All menu items are prepared using ingredients sourced from both local and international partners. The brand follows clean-label standards, with offerings made without palm oil, artificial colours, or additives.
David Yang, Chief Executive Officer, PAUL APAC, said, “Rooted in France and shaped over one hundred and thirty-seven years, PAUL embodies the French art de vivre through time-honoured craftsmanship and authenticity. Today, with a presence across fifty-seven countries, Bengaluru becomes part of that enduring journey.”
Vaibhav Kaushish, Chief Operating Officer, PAUL India, said the Bengaluru opening marks a significant step in the brand’s India expansion. He added that PAUL remains focused on using high-quality ingredients and continuing its Eat Well Live Well philosophy, with core offerings such as hot chocolate, pain au chocolat, viennoiseries and croissants remaining central to the brand.
PAUL’s Bengaluru debut reinforces its focus on delivering a consistent French and European café experience across markets. As with its outlets in Mumbai and Delhi, the brand aims to offer authentic recipes and artisanal craftsmanship in a format suited to the local dining culture.
