Reimagined Dining and New Bar Experience at Phulay Bay

Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, announced the relaunch of its Thai restaurant, Sri Trang and the opening of Pirom Bar, two venues that will expand the resort’s dining and bar offerings in Southern Thailand.

Sri Trang will reopen on October 1, 2025, following a refurbishment that introduces a new interior concept with contemporary elements and functional design. The restaurant will present a Southern Thai menu created by Chef Aong, inspired by local produce and ingredients from Krabi province. The menu reflects flavours shaped by coconuts, shrimp paste, palm sugar, herbs, and seafood sourced from the Andaman Sea. Recipes will include regional dishes that are less common in other parts of Thailand.

Pirom Bar, located on the second floor between Sri Trang and Jampoon, will open on October 15, 2025. The venue will offer gin and whiskey-based drinks, cocktails, and Champagnes. The bar aims to provide a setting for sunset drinks and evening gatherings, with a focus on herbs and spices from the region. Its name, derived from the Thai word for “supreme joy,” reflects the mood intended for guests visiting the bar after a day in Krabi.

On November 26, 2025, Phulay Bay will host a Four Hands Dinner at Lae Lay, its seafood restaurant. Christian Herrgesell, Executive Chef of the resort, and Syrco Bakker, founder of Syrco BASÈ in Bali, will present a six-course menu highlighting Bakker’s Dutch-Indonesian background and select ingredients. Further announcements will follow.

“Southern Thailand is one of the world’s great culinary destinations – a vibrant melting pot where cultures converge and fresh produce thrives. We are delighted to invite our discerning clientele to savour the authentic flavours of Krabi and its surrounding provinces with reimagined dining experiences at Sri Trang and innovative mixology at Pirom Bar. Our new venues will further underscore Phulay Bay’s vision of creating guest journeys that stimulate the senses and evoke the essence of this idyllic, intriguing region,” said Vidya Sagar, General Manager of the resort.
