New Cultural and Events Destination Launched in Gujarat

Praveg Limited inaugurated the Praveg Adalaj Theme-Based Destination Park and Heritage Stepwell Museum near Ahmedabad, marking the launch of a new cultural and experiential venue in Gujarat.

The destination was inaugurated by Bhupendrabhai Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat, in the presence of Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and Harsh Sanghavi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, highlighting the project’s significance at both state and national levels.

Developed and operated by Praveg Adalaj Tourism Infrastructure Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Praveg Limited, the project has been executed under a Public-Private Partnership model with TCGL on a 30-year lease.

Located on the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar Highway, the theme-based destination has been positioned as a multi-use venue for heritage-led tourism, cultural performances, social functions, corporate events and curated experiential programmes, with a focus on Gujarat’s architectural traditions.

Speaking at the inauguration, Vishnukumar Patel, Chairman of Praveg Limited, said, “The inauguration of Praveg Adalaj Theme Park and Heritage Stepwell Museum represents our vision of integrating Gujarat’s timeless heritage with contemporary infrastructure. It is not merely an event venue, but a cultural destination that narrates history, promotes tourism, and creates immersive experiences. We are deeply honoured by the presence and support of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Union Minister of Tourism, and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister on this momentous occasion.”

A central component of the destination is the Heritage Stepwell Museum, which draws inspiration from the Adalaj Stepwell. The museum presents curated exhibits that highlight Gujarat’s architectural heritage, folk traditions, craftsmanship, and cultural evolution through spatial design and storytelling.

The destination spans approximately 23,000 square metres and includes open garden areas, dining spaces and dedicated ceremony zones. Facilities also include a 1,350-square-metre amphitheatre with green-room access, an open-to-sky lounge, parking, curated guest amenities, and designated dining areas.

Within the complex, Jal Tarang serves as an open-air amphitheatre designed for conferences, cultural programmes and institutional events. At the same time, The Vaav offers a heritage-inspired setting for exhibitions, performances, discussions and large-scale gatherings.

The venue is intended to host a wide range of activities, including cultural performances, music events, exhibitions, social celebrations, business meetings and government functions.

The inauguration aligns with broader initiatives by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat to promote heritage tourism, experiential travel and long-term tourism infrastructure development, positioning the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar region as a cultural and business tourism hub.
