DT Minich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Experience Kissimmee, has been appointed to the VISIT FLORIDA Board of Directors. A well-respected industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, Minich brings extensive expertise from leading three Florida destination marketing organisations (DMOs).
Since joining Experience Kissimmee in 2014, Minich has played a pivotal role in establishing the destination as a leading choice for leisure visitors, meeting planners, sporting events, and group travel. His appointment marks the first time a leader from Experience Kissimmee has served on VISIT FLORIDA’s board, where he will help shape the state’s tourism marketing strategies alongside fellow industry experts across Florida. His term is set to run until June 2026.
“Our partnership with VISIT FLORIDA is invaluable,” said Minich. “I am honoured to contribute to statewide tourism marketing efforts and look forward to working with peers who are equally passionate about growing Florida’s visitor economy.”
“Central Florida continues to be a cornerstone of Florida’s tourism economy,” said VISIT FLORIDA Interim President & CEO Craig Thomas. “DT Minich’s experience and leadership in the Kissimmee market will bring valuable insights to the board and further strengthen our statewide efforts.”
Minich is also involved in several travel and tourism organisations. He holds the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) qualification from Destinations International and is a member of Sojern’s North America Destinations Advisory Board. His previous board roles include the U.S. Travel Association Chairman’s Circle, the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association, and the Dali Museum during his time with Visit St. Pete/Clearwater.
Prior to leading Experience Kissimmee, Minich managed tourism initiatives for St. Pete-Clearwater and Visit Fort Myers, where he began his career in destination marketing.
