Princess Cruises’ New Star Princess Sets Sail on Maiden Voyage

Princess Cruises marks a major milestone with the maiden voyage of its newest Sphere-Class ship, Star Princess, which set sail from Barcelona on an 11-day Western Mediterranean itinerary. The 17^th vessel in the Princess fleet, Star Princess, represents the next generation of cruising, blending innovation, elegance, and the signature Princess service.

After completing her inaugural Mediterranean itineraries, Star Princess will cross the Atlantic to Fort Lauderdale, where she will be officially named on November 6, 2025, by celebrity couple Camila and Matthew McConaughey, co-founders of Pantalones Organic Tequila.

At 177,800 tonnes and with a capacity for 4,300 guests, Star Princess features 30 dining and bar venues, enhanced entertainment, and luxurious accommodation. Following her Caribbean season, she will debut in Alaska in 2026 with Inside Passage voyages, becoming the newest ship to sail the region.
