Qatar Airways has wrapped up an outstanding presence at the 55th edition of the Paris Air Show, reaffirming its position as a global leader in aviation. Highlighting pioneering cabin innovations, technological breakthroughs, and securing the prestigious Skytrax World’s Best Airline award for an unprecedented ninth time, the airline’s showcase drew admiration from industry insiders and aviation fans alike.

Throughout the event, Qatar Airways impressed with its display of aircraft, including the Qsuite Next Gen, the Gulfstream G700 from Qatar Executive, and a Boeing 777 adorned with UEFA Champions League branding. Visitors explored the Qatar Airways L’Universe Lounge, which showcased AI-driven cabin features such as Sama and QVerse, alongside immersive experiences that brought the Qsuite to life.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said, “The Paris Air Show has always been a global stage for innovation and ambition for the industry, and this year Qatar Airways proudly led the dialogue in aviation excellence. From award-winning experiences to pioneering partnerships, every milestone achieved this week reaffirms our relentless commitment to excellence. The airline also garnered interest for its rollout of Starlink-powered high-speed Wi-Fi across its Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 fleets, cementing Qatar Airways as a leader in inflight connectivity and digital advancement.

During the show, Qatar Airways announced several key partnerships:

  • Piloting the Future: Launching a multi-crew pilot licence (MPL) programme with Baltic Aviation Academy to support its ongoing growth.

  • Regional Expansion: Establishing Qatar's first widebody aircraft painting facility through a partnership with Barzan Holdings and Satys Aerospace.

  • Culinary Excellence: Collaborating with Chef Yannick Alléno to enhance onboard and on-ground dining experiences.

  • Pilot Training: Entrusting F AIR as an official training partner, supporting future pilots and driving investments in the Czech Republic, with first students starting late 2025.

  • Sports & Entertainment: Partnering with IMG to launch Sport 24 via Starlink, bringing innovative content to passengers.

  • Future Tech: Signing an MoA with Thales to develop new in-flight entertainment (IFE) technologies and establish a dedicated IFE service and maintenance centre in Doha.

  • Aviation Development: Introducing a MPL programme with Qatar Aeronautical Academy, expected to benefit around 750 aspiring pilots over the next five years.

Throughout the week, Qatar Airways was again honoured as the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax, also winning awards for Best Business Class, Best Airline in the Middle East, and Best Business Class Lounge (Al Mourjan Garden Lounge).

With over 300,000 visitors from 48 countries and more than 2,500 exhibitors, Paris Air Show 2025 provided a perfect platform for Qatar Airways to showcase its latest innovations, strengthen industry collaborations, and help shape the future of air travel.
