Under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Diya Kumari, Rajasthan Tourism is poised to present its new vision "New Age Rajasthan – Where Tradition Meets Innovation" at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, scheduled from November 4 to 6. This participation marks a strategic effort to reposition Rajasthan as a dynamic destination blending heritage with contemporary experiences on the global stage.

The Rajasthan delegation, comprising Additional Director Anand Tripathi and Deputy Director Upendra Singh Shekhawat, will highlight the state's evolving tourism landscape. Recent data underscores Rajasthan's growing appeal among European travellers, with 1.29 lakh visitors from the United Kingdom in 2024 alone, accounting for 6.22 per cent of all foreign tourist arrivals to India from the UK. Overall, 4.67 lakh European tourists from 18 nations visited Rajasthan last year, signaling strong momentum in luxury, wellness, and heritage tourism segments.

Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riar emphasised that this year's participation transcends conventional exhibition formats. "We are bringing a complete experience to London," she stated. "Our pavilion will feature major tourism circuits—Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Shekhawati, and the Vagad region—through digital presentations, interactive screens, and virtual reality tours. This modern approach will allow visitors to truly feel Rajasthan's soul rather than just see its monuments."

In an innovative pre-event campaign, Rajasthan Tourism has partnered with FlixBus to launch Rajasthan-themed buses operating on the London-Cambridge route. These mobile ambassadors feature vibrant artwork inspired by the state's architecture and festivals, complete with QR codes directing passengers to Rajasthan Tourism's digital resources. Additional Director Anand Tripathi described this initiative as "taking Rajasthan's story from the road to the skies," creating a distinctive brand presence across both UK and Indian markets.

The WTM showcase will include dedicated zones highlighting Rajasthan's diverse offerings. The Digital Rajasthan Zone will provide immersive VR and 3D experiences, while the Luxury and Heritage Showcase will spotlight premium hotels, wedding destinations, and the iconic Palace on Wheels train. Deputy Director Upendra Singh Shekhawat noted the focus on experience-oriented tourism: "We're communicating that Rajasthan is not just about palaces and forts, but also a thriving hub for music, folk art, cuisine, wellness, and MICE tourism."

The delegation will conduct strategic B2B meetings with international travel agencies and investors, exploring collaborations to strengthen Rajasthan's position as a preferred global destination for luxury and experiential travel. This comprehensive approach at WTM London 2025 represents a significant step toward realizing Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari's vision of presenting Rajasthan as a destination where royal heritage meets contemporary innovation.
