New Offering Combines Local Expertise, Flexibility and Community-Led Journeys

Scapia, India’s travel-fintech platform, announced the launch of Scapia Trips, a new category created to cater to the evolving travel preferences of Gen Z and young millennial travellers. The offering focuses on curated group journeys that combine flexibility, social connection and local expertise, reflecting a shift away from rigid tour formats.

According to Scapia, group travel is increasingly preferred by young travellers for its safety, affordability and hassle-free planning, while still enabling richer, shared experiences. Scapia Trips has been designed to meet this demand by blending intelligent planning with on-ground execution and autonomy.

“Everything we build at Scapia starts with the traveller,” said Anil Goteti, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Scapia. “Gen Z and young millennials are reshaping group travel. They want experiences that are social, flexible and personalised, with the confidence of travelling in a trusted community. Scapia Trips combines thoughtfully curated journeys, expert guidance and flexible planning without the rigidity of traditional tours.”

Each journey with Scapia Trips is curated and led by a local Chief Experience Officer, a professional with extensive on-the-ground experience who provides cultural context, insider access, and operational support. Trips are designed to balance iconic highlights with offbeat experiences, while allowing travellers the freedom to explore independently. Accommodation focuses on boutique properties in prime locations, with optional pre- and post-trip extensions for added flexibility.

Scapia Trips launches with 18 destination-led and passion-led journeys. Destination-focused trips include international group experiences across established favourites such as Vietnam and Bali, as well as emerging markets like Russia and South Korea, where local expertise enables deeper engagement.

One of the platform’s signature formats, Scapia Flexi Original – Europe Unscripted, introduces a schedule-light approach to European travel. Travellers move through cities such as Prague, Budapest and Berlin with a flexible route, supported by pre-arranged accommodation, inter-city transport and local assistance, while retaining the freedom to personalise itineraries or extend stays.

Another format, Travel With the World, enables Indian travellers to join curated international group journeys alongside travellers from other countries through partnerships with global travel curators. These trips span destinations including New Zealand, Japan and Europe, focusing on cultural exchange, community interaction and safety-led exploration.

The platform also features passion-led and community-based journeys centred on wellness, food, adventure, music and outdoor experiences. Early offerings include Surf & Sisterhood in Varkala and scuba diving experiences in the Andamans, with upcoming journeys planned around spiritual travel, global festivals and large-scale cultural events across Bhutan, Thailand, Spain and Germany.

Scapia Trips is now live on the Scapia app and integrates with the Scapia Rewards Program, allowing travellers to earn and redeem Scapia Coins on bookings and future travel. The launch builds on Scapia’s broader expansion across travel discovery, planning, booking and experiences, reinforcing its ambition to create an end-to-end travel platform for Indian travellers.
