Sharjah World Championship Week Marks Final Round of 2025 F1H2O Season
Sharjah will host the final round of the 2025 UIM F1H2O World Championship during Sharjah World Championship Week, scheduled from December 19 to 21, 2025, at Khalid Lagoon. The event is organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority and marks the twenty-fourth edition of the Grand Prix of Sharjah.
Held under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, the event will conclude the 2025 championship season by determining world champions in both driver and team categories.
Race details will be announced on December 19, 2025, during a press conference at Hotel Holiday International, Sharjah. Attendees will include Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Nicolo Di San Germano, UIM F1H2O promoter, and drivers from UAE-based teams participating in the championship.
Drivers representing UAE teams include Shaun Torrente from Victory Team under the Dubai International Marine Club, Rusty Wyatt and Stefan Arand from Sharjah Team under the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, and Mansoor Al Mansoori from Abu Dhabi Team under the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club. Officials from government entities and event partners in Sharjah will also be present.
The final race will be held at Khalid Lagoon, with elite drivers competing for the top three positions. The event forms part of Sharjah World Championship Week, which brings together international powerboat racing teams and drivers.
The Formula One Powerboat World Championship features international single-seater powerboat races. UAE teams competing in the 2025 season include Sharjah Team, currently ranked second in team standings, with Rusty Wyatt, Stefan Arand and Filip Roms; Abu Dhabi Team, ranked fifth, represented by Rashid Al Qamzi, Mansoor Al Mansoori and Erik Stark; and Victory Team, ranked first, represented by Ahmed Al Fahim, Alec Weckstrom and Shaun Torrente, who leads the individual standings.

Warm-up sessions, parade lap and the Grand Prix of Sharjah will be held, followed by the final prize-giving ceremony.
Track Details – Grand Prix of Sharjah Circuit
The circuit is located at Khalid Lagoon and measures 2,057 metres per lap. It includes five turns, accommodates up to 22 boats, and features a longest straight of 585 metres and a shortest straight of 260 metres.
2024 Championship Highlights
The twenty-third edition of the Grand Prix of Sharjah concluded with Jonas Andersson of Team Vietnam finishing first. Erik Stark of Team Victory placed second, while Rusty Wyatt of Team Sharjah secured third position.
