SpiceJet has confirmed a lease agreement to introduce five Boeing 737 aircraft into its fleet. The aircraft are scheduled to join in October 2025, ahead of the winter timetable, to serve the peak winter and early summer seasons of 2026.

The aircraft will enter service on a damp lease arrangement, with shared operational crew between the lessor and SpiceJet. This move forms part of the airline’s wider strategy to increase capacity ahead of the busy winter period and meet rising travel demands. SpiceJet is also in active negotiations with additional lessors to further expand its fleet and strengthen both domestic and international routes.

Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer, SpiceJet, said, “We are pleased to finalise this lease agreement for the induction of five Boeing 737 aircraft. This addition will significantly strengthen our fleet and enable us to deliver a superior flying experience to our passengers. We are actively exploring further fleet additions as we prepare for a robust winter schedule.”
