New Incentives for International Visitors and Transit Passengers

Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) announced two new reward initiatives designed for international visitors and transit passengers. The ‘Taiwan the Lucky Land – Thank You Season’ offers monthly prize draws for returning travellers, while the ‘Enter Taiwan, Enjoy a Gift!’ programme provides NT$600 vouchers to eligible transit passengers arriving at Taoyuan International Airport.

‘Taiwan the Lucky Land – Thank You Season’ is a follow-up campaign for travellers who previously registered for the ‘Taiwan the Lucky Land’ lucky draw and have already visited Taiwan. Eligible participants can register on the campaign website before their subsequent arrival in Taiwan. The prizes include business-class round-trip airline tickets to Taiwan, luxury hotel accommodation packages, and NT$5,000 gift card vouchers. The promotion runs until January 30, 2026. Winners are selected through monthly draws held in the final week of each month, and non-winning entries automatically roll over. Prizes cannot be exchanged or substituted.

The campaign follows the earlier success of Taiwan, the Lucky Land, which has engaged over 6.5 million international travellers since May 2023. Based on this response, the Tourism Administration has relaunched the initiative as a gesture of appreciation for returning visitors. Further details are available on the campaign website.

Launched on November 1, 2025, the ‘Enter Taiwan, Enjoy a Gift!’ programme offers NT$600 vouchers to non-Taiwanese transit passengers who enter Taiwan for up to twenty-four hours through Taoyuan International Airport. The initiative is intended to support airport commerce and highlight Taoyuan Airport’s increasing role as a transit hub, strengthened by expanding international connections, including new routes from Emirates and Etihad. The programme runs until October 31, 2026 and is positioned to encourage transit passengers to become future visitors.

Travellers can register their basic information on the campaign website. On arrival at Taoyuan International Airport, they can present their passport and onward international boarding pass at the Tourism Administration’s Visitor Service Centres in Terminal One and Terminal Two to receive the NT$600 shopping voucher. The voucher is valid at participating outlets within the airport, including restaurants, duty-free shops, souvenir stores, and other retail services. Registration details are available online.

The Tourism Administration plans to continue working with partners and industry stakeholders to introduce further incentives and promote Taiwan as a destination. These initiatives aim to encourage longer stays, enhance visitor spending, strengthen Taiwan’s image as a convenient and welcoming transit hub, and reinforce its appeal as a travel destination.
