Delhi’s swish Aerocity has a new head-turner. Tesla, the world’s most talked-about electric carmaker, has rolled open the doors to its second Indian experience centre at Worldmark 3 Delhi Aerocity, just minutes from Indira Gandhi International Airport. More than a showroom, this 4,000 sq ft space promises an immersive look into Tesla’s blend of minimalist luxury, high tech technology, and zero-emission performance.
The launch brings the Model Y mid-size electric SUV to the capital, fresh from Tesla’s Shanghai facility. Available in two variants, like Rear-Wheel Drive (Rs 60 lakh) and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (Rs 68 lakh), the Model Y pairs everyday usability with exhilarating numbers. The Long Range RWD can glide for 622 km on a single charge, hit 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, and recover 267 km of range in just 15 minutes at a fast charger.
Step inside and you’re greeted with Tesla’s signature sleek cabin design, a pared-back, tech-led space offered in either black or white finishes, housing a five-seat layout and that iconic central touchscreen. Outside, the choice spans six colours, with the Stealth Grey included and a quintet of premium finishes — Pearl White Multi-Coat, Diamond Black, Ultra Red, Quicksilver, and Glacier Blue, available at an additional cost.
For the tech-curious, the experience centre showcases Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) package, an optional Rs 6 lakh upgrade. Visitors can explore how the SUV’s eight exterior cameras and advanced driver-assist systems work together, or discover the brand’s Chef-on-Call-inspired pre-selection system for driving preferences.
With Aerocity’s growing mix of luxury hotels, high-end dining, and retail spaces, Tesla’s arrival feels perfectly at home. Shoppers and travellers can drop in between a business meeting and a fine-dining reservation, test-drive a slice of the future, and imagine a road trip that starts right at the airport gates.
Deliveries of the Model Y will begin in the third quarter of 2025, limited for now to Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram. Until then, the Aerocity centre offers the capital’s residents, frequent flyers, and weekend visitors a taste of what it’s like when performance meets planet-friendly travel.
