India Tourism Industry Exchange
Tourism India Alliance announced the return of its flagship industry event, Tourism Exchange 2026, scheduled to be held from January 8 to 10, 2026, at Mayfair Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Gopalpur-on-Sea, Odisha.
Tourism Exchange 2026 follows the previous edition held in Pushkar in 2025 and is expected to bring together stakeholders from across the travel and tourism ecosystem, including state tourism boards, global tourism bodies, travel companies, industry experts, media and influencers. Tourism India Alliance currently has more than 450 members across over 80 cities in India.
Over the three-day programme, the event will feature panel discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions, networking opportunities and business meetings aimed at encouraging collaboration across the sector. More than 300 delegates and over 30 exhibitors from India and overseas are expected to participate.
The keynote address will be delivered by Suman Billa, Additional Secretary and Director General, Ministry of Tourism. Other speakers include Hitesh Motwani, who will address the role of artificial intelligence in tourism; Amar Choudhary, who will speak on leadership and motivation within the travel trade; Abhishek Agarwal, who will focus on GST and compliance for tourism businesses; Hemant Mediratta, who will discuss the evolution of luxury travel in India; and Rajeev Kohli, who will share perspectives on inbound tourism. Officials including Naveen Kundu and Arun Srivastava from the Ministry of Tourism will also participate.
State tourism boards from Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Andhra Pradesh will be present to showcase destination initiatives and tourism products. Representatives from the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau will also participate, adding an international dimension to the event.
A key segment of the programme will be the Tourism India Alliance Awards for Excellence in Tourism 2026. The awards will recognise contributions across multiple segments of the industry, including travel services, destination management, transportation, luxury travel, MICE, marketing leadership, women-led enterprises and technology-driven tourism initiatives.
Commenting on the upcoming edition, a Tourism India Alliance spokesperson said the Tourism Exchange has developed into a platform for collaboration across the tourism value chain and that the 2026 edition aims to facilitate dialogue around emerging opportunities for the sector.
Tourism Exchange 2026 will take place from January 8 to 10, 2026, at Mayfair Palm Beach Resort & Spa, Gopalpur-on-Sea, Odisha. The event is positioned as a meeting point for tourism professionals, policy stakeholders and global partners engaging with India’s tourism sector.
