VFS Global Launches Bulgaria Long-Term Visa Services Across Six Major Indian Cities

Bulgaria’s Long-Term Visa Applications Now Open in India Through VFS Global Centres

The Embassy of Bulgaria in New Delhi and VFS Global, the world’s leading technology and outsourcing services provider for governments and diplomatic missions, have jointly announced the launch of Bulgaria’s long-term visa (D visa) services in India. These services will be available through newly established, state-of-the-art visa application centres in six major cities in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi, providing easier access for applicants across the country.

The formal agreement was signed on October 24, 2025, at the Embassy of Bulgaria in New Delhi byH.E. Dr Nikolay Yankov, Ambassador of Bulgaria to India, and Yummi Talwar, Chief Operating Officer – South Asia, VFS Global.

Starting November 1, 2025, applicants seeking a Bulgarian long-term visa (D visa) will be able to submit their applications at the Bulgarian Visa Application Centre in New Delhi by booking an appointment online. Centres in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai will begin accepting appointments from mid-November 2025. Applicants can register and secure their slots on the website.

This initiative will make the application process simpler and more accessible for Indian citizens planning to travel to Bulgaria for study, work, or family reasons, further deepening the connections between our nations. With VFS Global already managing short-term visa (C visa) services for Bulgaria, this expansion ensures applicants can now conveniently access the full range of visa categories through a trusted partner, without the need to travel to New Delhi.”

Applicants may also enhance their visa submission experience by choosing from a variety of optional services, includingVisa At Your Doorstep, Premium Lounge, Prime Time collection and submission, Courier, SMS updates, and Form Filling assistance. It is important to note that availing of these services does not influence visa decisions or processing times.
