Vietnam’s Vietjet has launched two new direct routes from Hanoi to Chengdu and Xi’an in China, with flights beginning in July 2025. Each route will operate four times weekly, adding to the airline’s existing network that now includes seven Vietnam–China routes established in 2025.

These developments expand Vietjet’s services connecting Vietnam’s major hubs—Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City—to Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Xi’an. The airline’s broader network also links India with Vietnam via ten routes, offering up to 78 flights weekly between the two countries.

For Indian travellers, the new routes offer more convenient options for transiting through Vietnam en route to China, with promotional fares available for bookings. Vietjet continues to grow its international network, providing affordable travel options within the Asia-Pacific region.
