Cordelia Cruises Launches First-Ever Chennai to Singapore Sailings

Cordelia Cruises has revealed an exciting lineup of domestic and international sailings from Chennai for summer 2025, offering Indian travellers new ways to explore Southeast Asia and beyond.

The highlight of the season is two first-of-their-kind 10-night cruises between Chennai and Singapore. These one-way sailings, departing July 19 (eastbound) and July 29 (westbound), include stops at Phuket (Thailand), Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Singapore. This marks Cordelia’s entry into longer international cruises, giving travellers a chance to experience three countries in one journey.

Also featured are 5-night Sri Lanka cruises departing on August 11 and 18, visiting Hambantota, Trincomalee, and Jaffna — highlighting the island nation’s heritage, scenic coasts, and cultural treasures.

For those preferring to stay closer to home, Cordelia’s domestic sailings include 2-night weekend getaways and 5-night trips to destinations such as Visakhapatnam, Puducherry, and a scenic one-way cruise from Chennai to Mumbai via Kochi.

Guests aboard The Empress can enjoy Indian and global cuisine, live shows, a spa, kids’ zone, and even rock climbing — delivering a mix of comfort and adventure at sea.

“We know that families and new cruisers are looking for travel that’s convenient, comfortable, and enriching,” said Jurgen Bailom, President & CEO of Waterways Leisure Tourism Pvt Ltd. “Our Chennai sailings bring international and domestic destinations closer than ever — with everything taken care of onboard. These itineraries open up a new way to vacation together, where the journey is just as exciting as the destination.”

These new itineraries aim to make cruising more accessible and exciting for Indian families, first-timers, and seasoned travellers alike.
