Delhi Airport Issues Advisory Amid Airspace Changes

Delhi Airport has assured passengers that it is operating normally despite recent changes in airspace dynamics following the India-Pakistan ceasefire. However, it has warned that some flight schedules and security checkpoint processing times may be affected due to increased security measures.

The official statement from Delhi Airport, posted on X (formerly Twitter), read, "Delhi Airport is operating normally. However, due to changes in airspace dynamics and increased security measures, some flight schedules and security checkpoint processing times may be affected."

To ensure a smoother travel experience, Delhi Airport has urged passengers to:

• Stay Updated: Follow updates and instructions from your airline.

• Comply with Baggage Rules: Adhere to hand baggage and check-in luggage regulations.

• Plan for Extra Time: Allow more time for security checks due to heightened measures.

• Be Cooperative: Work with airline and security personnel for efficient processing.

• Verify Flight Status: Check the latest flight status via your airline or the official Delhi Airport website.

The advisory concluded with a message of appreciation for passengers’ patience, "We urge passengers to refer only to official channels for accurate updates. Thank you for the patience and cooperation as we work with the stakeholders to ensure your journey remains safe and efficient."

The advisory follows a series of Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) issued by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Saturday, 10th May, 2025. These NOTAMs announced the temporary closure of 32 airports across northern and western India, effective from 9th to 14th May 2025, which corresponds to 05:29 am IST on 15th May 2025.
