The Department of Tourism is excited to announce the Spirit of Goa Festival, taking place from May 2 to 4, 2025, at the picturesque SAG Grounds in Colva. The event was highlighted during a recent press conference featuring key figures, including Director of Tourism Kedar Naik, General Manager of Marketing GTDC Gavin Dias, Deputy General of Marketing and PRO Deepak Narvekar, and Assistant Director Jayesh Kankonkar.
Naik emphasised, "The Spirit of Goa Festival is more than just a celebration — it is a tribute to Goa’s legacy of craftsmanship, innovation, and community spirit. By blending tradition with creativity, the festival presents a vibrant showcase of our rich heritage to the world. We are committed to strengthening such platforms that empower local artisans, distillers, and culinary talent, while also offering visitors an authentic taste of Goa's evolving story."
Over three days, attendees can explore 40 stalls featuring a diverse range of locally distilled beverages, from traditional GI-tagged Cashew Feni to innovative infusions, premium gins, craft beers, and unique spirits. Distillers will unveil exciting new offerings, including wines and agave-based spirits, underscoring the dynamic future of Goa’s beverage industry.
In addition to beverages, the festival promises a rich culinary journey, spotlighting ingredients such as banana flower, kokum, raw jackfruit, Bimla, and mango. Guests will enjoy authentic Saraswat, Konkan, and Christian cuisines alongside contemporary Goan fusion creations, expertly paired with innovative cocktails.
Festivalgoers can also participate in immersive activities, including masterclasses on traditional food preparation and mixology, a curated Feni Experience Centre featuring top distillers, live demonstrations of Goan arts and crafts, a vibrant photo booth, and lively cashew stomping sessions for all ages.
The entertainment lineup features a world-class audio system by Coda (Germany) that will amplify performances by local talent on a globally benchmarked stage. The Spirit of Goa Festival remains a cornerstone of the Department of Tourism's initiatives to promote Goa’s cultural, culinary, and artisanal heritage, supporting the state’s regenerative tourism vision.
