Expected to draw millions of visitors from Japan and around the world, the highly anticipated Expo 2025 Osaka officially opened on April 13 and will run until October 13, 2025, on Yumeshima Island. This international event is one of the most significant of its kind.
On opening day, around 119,000 visitors explored the Expo, with ticket sales exceeding 9 million as of April 9, 2025. In its first week, the Expo welcomed approximately 524,000 attendees. The theme, "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," features participants from over 150 countries and regions, along with various international organisations and companies. A highlight of the event is "The Grand Ring," the world's largest wooden architectural structure, measuring about 2 kilometres in circumference, symbolising "Unity in Diversity."

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition has launched "EXPO Quick" services to facilitate ticket purchases. Visitors can conveniently obtain admission tickets through these "Easy Tickets."
New high-speed vessel to Awaji Island, Expo site
Pasona Group Inc has introduced the "PASONA NATUREVERSE Go," a high-speed passenger vessel connecting Tsubasa Port on Awaji Island to Yumeshima, the Expo site. This service, operating from April 13 to October 13, 2025, offers scenic views across Osaka Bay and aims to draw visitors to Awaji Island.
