IATO 2025-27

In recent elections, Ravi Gosain was elected President of IATO for a two-year term from 2025 to 2027. He is supported by a newly elected Executive Committee, including Rajnish Kaistha as Senior Vice President, Sanjay Razdan as Vice President, Sunil Mishra as Honorary Secretary, Deepak Bhatnagar as Honorary Treasurer and Viney Tyagi as Honorary Joint Secretary.

Rajiv Mehra will serve as Immediate Past President, while other committee members include Harish Mathur, Manoj Kumar Matta, Rishi Kapoor, Sejoe Jose, Tony Marwah, Ashok Dhoot, P Vijayasarathy, and Wasim Shaikh.

Speaking on his election, Gosain commented, “We are deeply grateful to our members for the faith they have placed in me and my team. It will be our sincere endeavour to support and empower our members to grow their businesses in a dynamic and competitive environment. A key priority for us is to work in close coordination with the Government to highlight the urgent need for aggressive international marketing and promotion of India as a travel destination. Foreign Tourist Arrival numbers have been going down and in that backdrop, we strongly advocate for increased participation in overseas travel marts and roadshows, as well as the reinstatement of familiarisation (FAM) trips for foreign tour operators, travel bloggers, and international media.”

He also emphasised plans to revive the Marketing Development Assistance (MDA) scheme, which has been on hold for over five years. Its revival is vital for small and medium-sized tour operators to promote their services abroad, ultimately increasing inbound tourism to India. “Our vision is to build a stronger, more inclusive IATO that champions our members’ interests and positions India as a leading global travel destination,” Gosain added.
