The Tourism Authority of Thailand, together with Krabi Province and local partners, will organise the Amazing Krabi Green Guide Fest 2025 from May 15 to 18, at Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Pars,k. The event, centred around eco-conscious initiatives and branded as “Green Vibe” aims to establish Krabi as a leading example of sustainable tourism globally.
Ampol Silathevakul, Governor of Krabi, said, “This is a key opportunity to showcase Krabi’s readiness to lead as a green tourism destination. It also helps build momentum for more responsible travel through activities that reflect our local identity and wisdom.”
Chiravadee Khunsub, Deputy Governor for International Marketing of Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa, also commented, “The Amazing Krabi Green Guide Fest 2025 is more than a celebration of eco-tourism—it’s a purposeful step towards becoming a carbon-neutral event. We want travel to be a positive force for communities, the environment, and local economies. With its natural beauty, cultural richness, and strong cross-sector collaboration, Krabi is the ideal setting.”
Throughout the festival, visitors can participate in activities such as surfing, sound healing, yoga, upcycling workshops, local music performances, sustainable culinary demonstrations, recycled art exhibitions, environmental education sessions, and discussions between visitors and local businesses about responsible travel and low-carbon routes.
Local tourism operators and hotels are also committed to sustainability, with efforts in waste reduction, energy efficiency, and support for local sources. The event is part of the broader Krabi Prototype project, which seeks to position Krabi as a global model for responsible tourism through measurable standards and international recognition.
The festival is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors and boost local tourism revenue by at least 35 million Baht.
