Madhya Pradesh Tourism has taken a creative leap in connecting with young minds through an immersive experience centre launched at KidZania Mumbai and Delhi NCR. Designed to introduce children to the state’s rich wildlife, natural beauty, and cultural spirit, the initiative blends fun, education, and adventure in an engaging format.
The inauguration was marked by a joyful celebration, including a formal MoU exchange between Madhya Pradesh Tourism and KidZania. Yazdi Khambatta, Director and COO of KidZania, symbolically handed over a key to Shukla to mark the collaboration. Children joined the festivities with a parade, a cake-cutting ceremony, and a ribbon-cutting that unveiled the new experience zone.
Speaking at the Mumbai launch, Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, and Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, remarked, “Madhya Pradesh offers nearly every type of tourism experience India has to offer—from ancient heritage and tribal traditions to spiritual sanctuaries and lush wildlife reserves. We are proud to introduce this experience centre that brings our state’s wonders closer to the next generation. I invite all families to explore and discover the unmatched charm of Madhya Pradesh.”
At the heart of the centre are two virtual adventures: a Jungle Safari and River Rafting. The Jungle Safari simulates a thrilling jeep ride through Madhya Pradesh’s dense forests and national parks, allowing children to encounter wildlife in a lifelike setting. The River Rafting activity offers a dynamic virtual journey through the state's scenic rivers. Both experiences use cutting-edge technology including VR, motion sensors, and 3D visuals for maximum immersion.
Dressed in green safari jackets, children take on the role of explorers. Each 10-minute session concludes with a fun quiz, and those who answer correctly are rewarded with KidZania’s in-house currency, KidZos. Participants also get to design a personalised postcard and take home themed goodies like stickers, diaries, and colourful pencils.
More than just entertainment, the centre focuses on holistic development. Children sharpen psychomotor and cognitive skills through observation and interaction, build emotional intelligence through nature-based experiences, and enhance social skills through group participation.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, emphasized, “This initiative is designed to spark interest in the state’s rich biodiversity, rivers, and cultural legacy through fun, educational virtual experiences. We look forward to evolving the center with even more exciting elements in the future.”
This unique initiative turns tourism into a learning adventure, sparking curiosity and connection to Madhya Pradesh in the most memorable way—through play.
