Located in Sehore district, Khari Village is part of Madhya Pradesh’s initiative to promote sustainable rural tourism. Managed under the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s Rural Homestay program, it offers visitors a chance to experience traditional village life through eco-conscious practices like organic farming, pottery, nature walks, and water meditation at Kaliasot Dam.

South African Cheetahs Reintroduced at Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary
On April 20, 2025, two male cheetahs, Pawak and Prabhash, were released into Gandhi Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary in Mandsaur district. Brought from South Africa in 2023, this marks the sanctuary as India’s second cheetah habitat after Kuno. The area features a substantial prey base and developed habitat, supporting cheetah conservation efforts.

Heritage Conservation in Orchha Supported by UNESCO’s HUL Programme
A workshop at Hotel Betwa Retreat in Orchha highlighted sustainable heritage management under UNESCO’s Historic Urban Landscape (HUL) initiative. Orchha and Gwalior are the first South Asian cities selected for this programme, which aims to integrate conservation into urban planning through detailed master plans and guidelines.

Inclusive Tourism Development at Madhya Pradesh Heritage Sites
The state has launched the 'Accessibility Infrastructure and Development' project, adding features like ramps, Braille signs, and wheelchair access at key heritage sites including Maheshwar, Mandu, Dhar, and Orchha. This move aims to make heritage tourism accessible to all visitors.

Madhya Pradesh Promoted in Seoul with Bus Campaigns
From March to April 2025, Indian Embassy buses in Seoul displayed images of Madhya Pradesh’s attractions, including Kanha National Park and Sanchi Stupa. Operating across major districts and at the airport, the campaign aimed to increase awareness of Madhya Pradesh as a travel destination among Korean tourists.
