Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur has been recognised as the world’s leading ‘One-of-a-Kind Hotel’ by Tripadvisor’s Travellers' Choice Best of the Best Awards 2025. This category highlights hotels that offer truly distinctive and memorable stays, placing the hotel within the top one per cent worldwide based on guest reviews.

Ashok Rathore, Area Director – Rajasthan, IHCL said, “Taj, for over a century has been the custodian of India’s heritage and culture having restored some of the country’s most celebrated royal palaces that date back to the pre-independence era. Constructed between 1743 and 1746 as Jag Niwas by Maharana Jagat Singh II, the palace gracefully floats on Lake Pichola. Once the summer residence of royalty, the 83-room hotel has been carefully restored to its original splendour, offering guests a glimpse into a historic era. Dining options include authentic Rajasthani cuisine at Neel Kamal, European fare at Bhairo, international dishes at Jharokha, and signature cocktails at Amrit Sagar. The hotel is also well known for curated experiences such as heritage walks, private dinners under the stars, and the J Wellness Circle, a holistic wellness programme inspired by ancient Indian healing traditions.
