VFS Global has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Brazil-based CiX Citizen Experience. This move strengthens VFS Global’s footprint in Latin America and marks a strategic expansion of its public service capabilities.

Founded in 2008, CiX has become a pioneer in digital and physical citizen services, operating over 250 service centres across Brazil. With a portfolio of more than 200 services provided to states and municipalities, CiX has served over 150 million citizens—issuing 30 million ID cards and 20 million driver’s licences. Its presence in key regions such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Ceará further amplifies its reach.

By integrating CiX’s innovative, AI-driven platforms with VFS Global’s international network, the partnership promises next-generation service delivery for governments and citizens alike. This acquisition is set to drive enhanced citizen engagement, accessibility, and operational efficiency across the region and beyond.
