Vietnam Airlines, the national airline of Vietnam, has today launched its first direct flight from Bengaluru to Hanoi. Operating four weekly flights with modern Airbus A321 aircraft, the airline offers a comfortable journey with spacious seating, Indian meal options, stylish interiors, and warm Vietnamese hospitality.
This marks Vietnam Airlines’ presence in three major Indian cities—Delhi, Mumbai, and now Bengaluru, highlighting its commitment to expanding in India’s burgeoning South Indian market.
The inaugural ceremony at Kempegowda International Airport was lively, featuring a cake-cutting celebration attended by airport officials, Vietnam Airlines representatives, and Aeroprime Group staff. Passengers enjoyed activities like photo opportunities and exploring Karnataka’s cultural art installations.
Nguyen Trung Hieu, Country Manager India, Vietnam Airlines, said, "South India is an increasingly important market for us, and we are thrilled to commence our operations from one of the most dynamic markets in South India, which is Bengaluru. With Vietnam’s growing popularity among Indian travellers, these new direct flights will offer greater convenience, connectivity, and the elevated service standards that Vietnam Airlines is known for."
Adding to this, Abhishek Goyal, Executive Director, Aeroprime Group (India GSA for Vietnam Airlines), commented, "The launch of our operations from Bengaluru marks a significant milestone in our India growth strategy. We are thrilled to provide business and leisure travellers from South India with direct access to Vietnam and beyond. With these new flights, Vietnam Airlines now operates 18 weekly services connecting Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The airline also plans to begin services from Hyderabad next week, further growing its Indian network.
