This World Cocktail Day, tequila brand Las Maracas raised a toast to tradition and creativity by introducing two unique cocktails designed specially for the Indian palate. Born in the sunlit highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, Las Maracas combines authentic craftsmanship with a modern touch suited to India’s diverse taste culture.
Rather than relying on complexity, Las Maracas embraces simplicity and meaning. Each cocktail is seen as a storytelling medium — a bridge between cultures, highlighting shared ingredients and culinary traditions.
The Sharp Edge, the brand’s signature serve, keeps things simple yet bold. Using Las Maracas Blanco — a clear, crisp tequila made from agave and volcanic spring water — the drink is garnished with a green chilli. This not only adds heat but also symbolises a culinary connection between India and Mexico. It’s refreshing, spicy, and straightforward — perfect for those who enjoy clean, sharp flavours.
El Mango Fuego, on the other hand, celebrates summer. Made with Las Maracas Reposado, this cocktail brings together mango juice and avocado — representing India’s favourite fruit and Mexico’s creamy staple. Jalapeño brine, coriander, lime, and a pinch of salt add layers of flavour, making it tropical, smooth, and slightly fiery.
Las Maracas is available in three variants:
-
Blanco (Rs 5,300): Crisp and peppery
-
Reposado (Rs 6,400): Smooth with caramel notes
-
Añejo (Rs 9,500): Aged and rich with vanilla and oak
Currently available in Delhi, the brand plans to expand to Goa, Haryana, and Mumbai in 2025.
With its unique approach to mixology and focus on Indian tastes, Las Maracas is inviting drinkers to discover tequila in a new, meaningful way — one cocktail at a time.
