Burma Burma

Location Inspired By Myanmar’s Golden Rock

Burma Burma’s latest location has opened at Worldmark 3 in Aerocity, part of a mixed-use development by Brookfield Properties. The restaurant spans 6,302 sq. ft. across two floors and accommodates 110 guests. The layout is designed to feel open yet composed, with spaces that reveal themselves progressively rather than all at once.

The interiors take inspiration from Myanmar’s Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, also known as the Golden Rock, recognised for its spiritual significance and distinctive balance. This concept is reflected in a suspended sculptural interpretation of the Golden Rock Pagoda positioned above the central tea bar. Hand-painted with Burmese motifs, the installation serves as a focal point while remaining integrated within the overall spatial design.

Materiality plays a key role. The tea counter brings together terracotta-printed tiles, cane, lacquer, wood and polished marble, while Burmese artwork and artefacts are integrated with restraint. Lighting from elongated brass lamps to pagoda-shaped fixtures adds softness, particularly in the private dining space where sculptural pagoda forms quietly anchor the setting. The space is  designed by Mini Bhatt Designs.

The menu follows a similar philosophy, rooted in Burmese culinary heritage yet expressed with modern clarity. Beyond the familiar Khowsuey, the offering reflects the brand’s research-led approach to street food, tribal cooking and heirloom recipes. The Raw Mango Salad delivers brightness and textural contrast, while Lotus Stem Crisps remains an easy, crowd-pleasing small plate. The Oh No Khowsuey continues to anchor the experience creamy, aromatic and composed rather than heavy.

Burma Burma’s beverage programme is equally central to its identity. Recognised with the Best Non-Alcoholic Menu 2025 by 30 Best Bars India, its Zero-Proof Cocktails reinterpret mixology through Burmese herbs and spices. Traditional Burmese pulled teas, including the Yangon Royal Tea and Creamy Bagan Tea, reinforce the brand’s positioning as India’s only pan-India Burmese restaurant and tea room. Desserts lean contemporary yet rooted in memory, the Silkroute Sundae feels playful without excess, while artisanal ice creams such as Caramelised Chocolate & Cheese and Pineapple Upside-Down reflect a careful balance of nostalgia and craft

At Aerocity, Burma Burma does not attempt reinvention. Instead, it sharpens its language, culinary and spatial, reinforcing its steady expansion strategy while remaining culturally anchored. It is a restaurant that rewards attention rather than demanding it, offering Delhi a space that feels considered, immersive and quietly confident. With this launch, the brand marks its sixth address in Delhi-NCR and its 21st restaurant nationally.
