Strengthening India Connectivity and Tourism Partnerships
EgyptAir, the national carrier of Egypt, reaffirmed its commitment to the Indian market as Official Airline Partner at SATTE Awards 2026. The partnership reflects the airline’s strategy to position itself as a multi-destination carrier connecting Indian travellers to Africa, Europe and Asia.
EgyptAir currently operates five weekly flights from Mumbai (BOM) and four weekly flights from New Delhi (DEL) to Cairo International Airport (CAI), with plans to increase frequencies towards daily services.
From Cairo, EgyptAir connects passengers to more than 80 international destinations across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia through its network and membership of the Star Alliance.
“India is a strategic priority market for EgyptAir. With Indian outbound travel witnessing unprecedented growth and increasing demand for experiential and multi-country journeys, we see a significant opportunity to position EgyptAir as a preferred gateway carrier – not only to Egypt, but onward to Europe, Africa and other destinations,” said Amr Aly, Country Manager – India, EgyptAir.
Indian tourist arrivals to Egypt rose by 18.8 per cent in the first half of 2025 compared with the same period last year. In collaboration with the Egyptian Tourism Authority, EgyptAir is running promotional initiatives across the B2B and B2C segments.
Egypt continues to attract visitors to cultural and heritage sites, including the Grand Egyptian Museum, which houses more than 100,000 artefacts, and the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Cities such as Luxor, Aswan, and Alexandria offer heritage tourism, while Red Sea destinations, including Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh, are known for beach resorts and diving.
As part of its partnership with SATTE, EgyptAir is engaging travel trade and consumers through the #ExploreEgyptWithEgyptAir campaign. Visitors to SATTE 2026 can enter a draw to win return tickets to Cairo, with winners to be announced during the exhibition.
EgyptAir will also present return tickets to winners in selected SATTE Awards categories, including Online Travel Platform of the Year (B2B), Online Travel Platform of the Year (B2C), and Outbound Tour Operator of the Year.
The airline’s presence at SATTE follows its participation at OTM earlier in February 2026 as it continues engagement with the Indian travel trade.
