FINO Tequila Enters India with Four Expressions and Retail Presence Across Three States

Premium Tequila Brand Launches in India

FINO Tequila entered the Indian market, marking an expansion for the co-founded venture of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and a group of Indian American entrepreneurs. The brand was introduced at an event in Gurugram attended by prominent sports and business personalities, including Suresh Raina, Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammad Kaif.

FINO Tequila is positioned as an ultra-premium, artisanal product and aims to expand the tequila category in India. The brand brings together the Mexican heritage of Jalisco with the business backgrounds of its founding partners. Alongside Singh, the venture includes Vikram Kumar, Paroon Chadha, Sonali Patel, Jana Iyer and Nick Patel, who contribute to the brand’s international expansion strategy. Ayaesha Gooptu, the country head, leads the India business.

The brand highlights a focus on production practices and on ingredients sourced entirely from blue Weber agave, hand-selected and estate-grown. Its portfolio includes four variants representing different tequila styles. The Blanco offers a clean expression, the Rosado features a blush-pink hue, the Reposado offers aromatic depth, and the Añejo is presented as the most premium in the range.

FINO Tequila is currently available in premium retail outlets in Haryana, Delhi and Maharashtra, as well as duty-free stores in Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Expansion into additional Indian markets is planned in the coming years.

FINO positions its brand around the idea that "Failure Is Not an Option," presenting a narrative associated with Singh’s personal career trajectory. The brand intends to build experiential formats in India as part of its expansion strategy.
