Goa Tourism has won the Best Wedding Destination award at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Mumbai 2025, held from August 11–13 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The honour was accepted on behalf of the Department of Tourism, Goa by Rajesh Kale, Deputy Director of Tourism; Chitra Vengurlekar, Assistant Tourist Officer; Janvi Kharat, Department of Tourism; and Chandrashekhar Kopardekar, Manager, GTDC.
Rohan A Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, stated, “Goa’s appeal as India’s preferred wedding destination continues to grow, and this award is a testament to the hard work of our tourism industry and stakeholders. At TTF Mumbai, we were proud to present Goa as a place where celebrations can blend seamlessly with sustainability, community, and culture.”
Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, added, “This recognition not only honours Goa’s wedding tourism potential but also highlights the diversity of experiences the state offers. The tremendous response at our pavilion over the past three days reflects the growing interest in Goa’s heritage, wellness, and hinterland tourism, all of which can be woven into unique destination weddings.”

With its mix of natural beauty and unique venues, from heritage properties to beachfront settings, Goa continues to attract both domestic and international wedding planners seeking memorable, picturesque celebrations.
Beyond the award, Goa Tourism’s pavilion at TTF Mumbai 2025 enjoyed exceptional engagement across all three days, drawing travel trade, media, and visitors keen to explore the state’s Regenerative Tourism initiatives.
