AI-First Travel Experience
Ixigo announced an expanded partnership with OpenAI to strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities and deploy them at scale within the travel sector. Through this collaboration, the company aims to fast-track AI adoption across its platforms, ixigo, ConfirmTkt, and Abhibus unlocking new growth opportunities and innovation.
By leveraging OpenAI’s Enterprise API platforms, ixigo will roll out advanced AI solutions and integrate next-generation coding models throughout its technology ecosystem. These enhancements will support autonomous workflows and power new AI-led use cases, including fully autonomous agents, AI-assisted operations, contextual AI assistants, and continued research to deliver AI-first travel experiences.
Ixigo has already been an early adopter of AI in the travel industry, implementing it across customer service, where 90 per cent of voice and chat support is fully AI-driven, as well as in engineering, business operations, marketing, and process management. In 2025, the company introduced its three-pronged AI roadmap, Project Trishul, focused on efficiency, revenue growth, and disruption. This strategy is designed to improve operating leverage, enable smarter monetization, and build multimodal agentic capabilities across its platforms.
The latest integration will further accelerate AI-driven coding and quality assurance while reinforcing ixigo’s commitment to fully autonomous workflows, allowing the organisation to automate complex processes at scale.
Rajnish Kumar, Group Co-CEO and Aloke Bajpai, Group CEO, ixigo said, "We have been an early mover on AI since 2012, and we are now entering an era where every company needs to become an AI diffusion company to help their customers and partners leverage the benefits that AI enables. Our collaboration with OpenAI will accelerate the integration of AI and agentic workflows both inside the organization and for over half a billion travel consumers that we serve.”
