Kerala Tourism’s official website, keralatourism.org, continues to set milestones, emerging as India’s most visited state tourism site during the 2024-25 financial year. It outperformed even the national ‘Incredible India’ portal, which holds the second position, according to analytics firm SimilarWeb.

Globally, Kerala’s tourism site secures the second spot among travel and tourism websites, and also ranks second in the tourism industry category. Thailand Tourism leads the global rankings, with Vietnam, Incredible India, and Indonesia following in third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively.

Since its launch in 2007, SimilarWeb has been a trusted source for website traffic analysis. During 2024-25, Google reports that over 6 million users visited Kerala Tourism’s site, generating approximately 7.9 million visits and viewing more than 15 million pages.

Tourism and Public Works Minister PA Mohamed Riyas said the website’s feat underscored Kerala’s recognition as a global tourism destination. “Such is our acceptance among tourists,” he noted. “On recognising the importance of digital promotion in tourism development, Kerala Tourism is implementing innovative projects and products by catering to the changing tastes of travellers. The attractively-designed website provides comprehensive information about tourism activities in the state.”

The website attracts around 5.8 million visitors via search engines, with more than one million users directly typing keralatourism.org into their browsers, and nearly a million arriving through advertisements. Visitors hail from approximately 200 countries, exploring sections on accommodation, destinations, tour packages, heli-tourism, wedding venues, festivals, Theyyam, and yoga.

With over 100,000 pages featuring high-resolution images, videos, and an eye-catching design, the site also offers a travel planner, live webcasts, and e-newsletters. Available in over 20 languages, it acts as a comprehensive digital guide to Kerala’s vibrant culture, unique attractions, and travel opportunities.

Operated and maintained by Invis Private Limited, Kerala Tourism’s official IT partner, the website has already gained recognition as one of the top 10 tourism sites across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. In 2023-24, it welcomed nearly 10 million visitors and clocked more than 20 million page views.
