The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has launched its 75th Anniversary campaign, celebrating a landmark in its contribution to Asia-Pacific tourism. The announcement was made during the PATA Knowledge Forum 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, held alongside PATA Travel Mart 2025.
Running through 2025 and 2026, the celebrations will culminate in a grand showcase at the PATA Annual Summit 2026 in Gyeongju and Pohang, South Korea. Designed as both a look back and a step forward, the campaign aims to unite members, partners, and travellers through shared stories and collective memories.
A highlight of the initiative is Interactive Engagement: A Living Travel Memory. Visitors are invited to contribute photographs, stories, and recollections linked to PATA’s journey, helping build a digital archive that reflects the association’s reach across generations. Attendees at flagship events such as PATA Travel Mart 2025 will also find anniversary-themed activities designed to capture the spirit of connection.
The centrepiece, however, will be the official launch in Korea, which will showcase PATA’s heritage and its future vision for sustainable and responsible tourism. The campaign underscores PATA’s mission of making travel a force for cultural exchange, prosperity, and peace across borders.
Looking ahead, the 75th Anniversary not only marks an extraordinary history but also reaffirms the Association’s role in shaping the evolving narrative of global tourism. For PATA, the milestone is less about looking back and more about building a travel future rooted in shared growth and responsibility.
