Luxury, Adventure And Wellness

Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) hosted ‘Beyond the Shore: Saudi’, a yacht-sailing event in Mumbai aimed at highlighting the Saudi Red Sea coast and positioning Saudi Arabia as a year-round destination for Indian travellers. Held on January 30, the experience welcomed around 40 key trade partners, media representatives and influencers, offering an intimate, experience-driven introduction to Saudi’s maritime tourism offerings.

The event recreated the sensation of sailing along the Saudi Red Sea. Guests enjoyed a curated yacht journey from the iconic Gateway of India to Mandwa. The journey concluded with a fine-dining lunch at Soulinaire, where a specially curated menu and storytelling emphasised the luxury and exclusivity characteristic of Red Sea experiences.

Throughout the day, guests were introduced to thoughtfully designed Red Sea itineraries, highlighting Saudi Red Sea journey, with heritage and contemporary coastal life converging at historic Jeddah, the Jeddah Corniche, and the Jeddah Yacht Club. The experience then unfolds at Red Sea featuring ultra-luxury private island resorts. Guests can also enjoy guided kayaking, snorkelling in shallow reefs, and wellness-led leisure, alongside cycling and hiking across dramatic dune landscapes.

The event comes at an opportune time, with properties across the Red Sea Global offering discounts ranging from 15 per cent to 30 per cent, while hotels in AlUla are extending savings of upto 48 per cent.

The region is emerging as one of the world’s most exciting yachting and coastal destinations, further amplified by destinations such as King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), a modern coastal city offering beaches.

The Mumbai yacht-sailing experience delivered a tangible sense of Saudi’s luxury ethos, purposeful, nature-led and transformative, while fostering engagement with India’s travel trade and media.

Connectivity further strengthens this proposition. Saudi Arabia and India are connected by over 313 weekly flights, operated by leading carriers including Saudia, Flynas, Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, and Akasa Air.
