The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI), a prominent travel trade organisation with over 1,700 members across 12 chapters nationwide, has officially launched its Punjab Chapter. This milestone highlights TAFI’s dedication to expanding its reach and tackling region-specific challenges within India’s vibrant travel sector.
The inauguration was attended by the Chief Guest, Vaneet Dhir, Mayor of Jalandhar, who lit the ceremonial lamp and unveiled the chapter, symbolising a new chapter for Punjab’s travel industry. In his speech, Dhir pledged his full support to the sector’s growth in the state and congratulated the newly appointed office bearers of the Punjab Chapter.
At the event, Rajeshwar Kumar Dang (Xpert Travels) was announced as Chairman, Mohit Jethi (Jethi Travels) as Secretary, and Andeep Arora (RAB Tour & Travels) as Treasurer of the TAFI Punjab Chapter.
The event was attended by the TAFI National team, led by Ajay Prakash, President of National TAFI, and Abbas Moiz, National General Secretary of the organisation, alongside members of the Committee and the Northern India Chapter team. The National Joint Treasurer expressed gratitude to all attendees, dignitaries, and participants for contributing to a successful launch.
The Punjab Chapter aims to address the challenges faced by the travel industry in the region and to promote growth and collaboration within Punjab’s travel trade. The event concluded with a networking dinner, offering a valuable opportunity for industry professionals to connect and explore new prospects.
