Hospitality Expansion Across Key Tourism and Business Hubs
Tata Group shared an update on its hospitality expansion plans in Uttar Pradesh during discussions held on December 16, 2025. The update follows a rise in domestic and international tourism in the state, supported by improvements in connectivity, infrastructure and visitor movement across spiritual, cultural and heritage circuits.
The Group confirmed that 30 hotels, comprising approximately 1,900 rooms, are currently under development across Uttar Pradesh. These properties span multiple hospitality brands and are planned across key tourism, pilgrimage and business corridors to meet growing accommodation demand.
In addition to projects under construction, the Tata Group outlined plans to develop a further 30 hotels by 2026. The expansion is expected to strengthen the state’s hospitality supply and support year-round tourism activity.
As part of plans to enhance business and institutional travel infrastructure, Tata Sons proposed the development of a Signature Hotel in Noida. The proposed property is intended to support conferences, corporate meetings and events, aligned with Noida’s growing role as a commercial and institutional centre.
Updates were also shared on government-led projects supporting cultural tourism. Construction of the first phase of the Museum of Temple Architecture in Ayodhya is progressing, with completion targeted for January 2027.
Discussions further included proposed initiatives focused on ghat clean-up and riverfront development along the Ganga, linked to cultural preservation, environmental sustainability and visitor experience enhancement.
Officials noted that the expansion of hospitality infrastructure is expected to contribute to longer visitor stays, employment generation and growth of allied sectors, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a multi-season tourism destination.
