A Modern Revival of Timeless Beverly Hills Elegance
The Peninsula Beverly Hills, an exclusive retreat renowned for its Renaissance-inspired architecture and discreet elegance, has unveiled a refined new design across its 195 guestrooms and expansive rooftop. The refresh, led by acclaimed global design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), celebrates the hotel’s French aesthetic while harmonising it with modern-day sophistication.
“As we look ahead to celebrating the hotel’s 35th anniversary of providing exceptional hospitality in 2026, this refurbishment involves more than introducing modern updates,” said Managing Director Offer Nissenbaum. “It’s a continuation of a legacy and an embodiment of the care and artistry that have defined The Peninsula Beverly Hills since its inception.”
The design transformation delicately balances the hotel’s storied past with contemporary sensibilities. Guestrooms now feature an updated palette of soft pinks, powder blues, and muted greens, evoking serenity and residential warmth. Luxurious new furnishings, quartz marble surfaces, French-inspired upholstery, and Bergère-style lounge chairs, enhance both comfort and craftsmanship. Every element has been meticulously considered, from handcrafted drapery faithfully reproduced by the hotel’s original manufacturers to refined decorative accents, including gold-framed mirrors, porcelain vases, and soft metallic sconces.
To further enrich the guest experience, each room’s layout was subtly reconfigured to maximise natural light and create a smoother sense of flow. Some heritage elements remain lovingly preserved, such as the Rose Aurora marble vanities sourced from Portugal and the artwork by longtime Peninsula collaborator Hampton Hall, paying tribute to the property’s distinguished history.
The hotel’s much-loved rooftop, an urban sanctuary offering sweeping views of Beverly Hills, has also undergone a graceful enhancement. Ten new cabanas, adorned in The Peninsula’s signature yellow and white stripes, have been introduced alongside expanded lounging areas. Each cabana features a 50-inch high-definition television, Bluetooth sound system, and all-day personalised dining service, creating a luxurious poolside retreat that captures the spirit of California leisure and Peninsula refinement.
The refreshed design marks a new chapter in The Peninsula Beverly Hills’ enduring legacy. With its seamless blend of tradition and innovation, the hotel continues to embody a timeless sense of place, where old-world grace meets modern sophistication, and every detail reflects a commitment to beauty, comfort, and excellence.
