Uttar Pradesh Tourism has launched a tailored one‑day guided tour from Lucknow to Ayodhya to mark Deepotsav 2025, offering devotees and travellers a seamless way to witness the city’s divine splendour on October 19, 2025.
Following a strong response to weekend guided tours, UPSTDC has designed a Deepotsav‑exclusive itinerary — a single‑day journey from Lucknow to Ayodhya and back, including transport, meals, guides, and a front‑row experience of the grand celebrations.
Deepotsav Tour Highlights:
- Date: October 19, 2025
- Route: Lucknow → Ayodhya → Lucknow
- Departure: 11:00 am from Hotel Gomti, Lucknow
- Price per person: Rs 1,500
- Inclusions: Transport by Tempo Traveller, mineral water, lunch, dinner, refreshments, and professional guides
- Booking: www.upstdc.co.in
Travellers will witness the lighting of 26 lakh diyas, an aerial drone show, Maha Aarti, laser projections, and spectacular eco‑friendly fireworks on the banks of the Saryu at Ram ki Paidi. Throughout the journey, local guides will recount stories and legends of Lord Rama, turning the trip into a living narration of the Ramayana.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said, “Deepotsav is not merely a celebration; it is an emotion that unites people through faith and light. This special package enables everyone to experience the divinity of Ayodhya in a convenient and meaningful way.”
Special Secretary for Tourism, Eesha Priya, added, “The earlier guided tours were popular with travellers of all ages, especially families and senior citizens. With the Deepotsav package, we are ensuring that every visitor experiences Ayodhya’s spiritual charm in comfort, safety, and joy.”
Feedback from travellers who have already taken UPSTDC tours has been positive. Prakash Mitra, who travelled with seven family members on 5 October, remarked, “We had heard of Ayodhya’s magic, but seeing it through UP Tourism’s guided tour made it truly special. The experience was seamless — every stop felt like a story coming to life.”
To enhance convenience, UPSTDC has also introduced pick‑ups directly from railway stations for Naimisharanya travellers, while Ayodhya tours will continue to commence from Hotel Gomti.
With this new initiative, UP Tourism continues its mission of turning pilgrimages into soulful journeys, where devotion meets discovery and travellers return home with memories of faith and light.
