Miral, Abu Dhabi’s premier producer of immersive destinations and experiences, announced that the eagerly awaited expansion of Yas Waterworld on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, officially opened to visitors on July 1. This significant development, covering 13,445 sq m, greatly enriches the park’s already renowned offerings and introduces a ‘Lost City’ theme, continuing the story of ‘The Legend of the Lost Pearl’. The expansion boasts an exhilarating array of 20 new rides, slides, and attractions, as well as a brand-new dining experience, delivering splash-filled fun for guests of all ages. With this addition, Yas Waterworld now features over 60 rides, slides, and attractions, providing even more aquatic adventures than ever before.

Families can now enjoy a variety of new adventures, including Al Mafras, a twisting desert-themed water slide for children featuring smooth turns, exciting slopes, and a splash landing; Red Dunes, a high-speed, enclosed aqua tube slide designed for maximum thrill; and the region’s first side-by-side duelling tube raft race, Al Falaj Race, with rapid drops, sharp twists, and exciting head-to-head action.
The expansion also includes Al Sahel Junior, the region’s first mini zero-gravity Boomerango, with thrilling drops, winding slides, and vertical zooms, and Dawwama Junior, a scaled-down version of the iconic tornado slide. Visitors can challenge themselves on Mataha Madness, navigate the twists and turns of Sadaf Swirl, or brave Bahamut’s Rage, a high-thrill log flume ride with exhilarating drops. Younger guests and adults alike will enjoy the interactive fun at Bandit’s Playground, a lively splash zone filled with surprises, located within the all-new Bandit’s Village.
