Finnair strengthens its Southern European network and will operate scheduled services to Catania, Florence and Valencia, with the Greek island Kos joining the programme in summer 2026. Catania, Florence and Valencia are new destinations, while Kos has previously been served as a charter.
"Italy, Spain, and Greece are particularly popular with our Finnish and Northern European customers during the summer months. The new destinations complement our Southern European network, offering both beach holidays and culture, and the travel period extends from spring to autumn,” says Christine Rovelli, Finnair's Chief Revenue Officer.
Next summer, Finnair will fly twice a week to Florence, Italy's enduring favourite and the home of art history, and three times a week to Catania, on the island of Sicily, showcasing the authentic southern Italian way of life. There will also be two weekly departures to Spain’s third-largest city, Valencia, and to the island of Kos, known for its sandy beaches.
Finnair has a strong offering of Southern European destinations in summer 2026. In Italy, Finnair operates to Rome, Milan, Naples, Venice, Verona and Bologna; in Spain to Madrid, Málaga, Alicante, Barcelona, Palma, and to the Canary Islands of Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote; and in Greece to Chania, Heraklion, Rhodes and Santorini.
