Rajasthan is transforming itself into a diverse and immersive travel destination, under the vision of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari. Moving beyond its iconic forts and heritage sites, the state aims to weave together its rich culture, history, faith, nature, and modern attractions into a unified tourism experience.

The government’s ambitious plan includes showcasing Rajasthan at international travel expos, developing tribal circuits, and turning Amer into a premier tourist hub. Additionally, new war museums in Jhunjhunu and Western Rajasthan will celebrate the state’s military legacy, while efforts are underway to promote indigenous cultures and traditions.

A decentralised approach to tourism will see travel fairs held in cities like Kota, shining a spotlight on lesser-known destinations and boosting local economies. The historic town of Amer will be enhanced with modern facilities, becoming an iconic destination that combines heritage charm with world-class amenities.

Faith-based tourism will be given a boost, with upgrades planned for the Govind Dev Ji Temple in Jaipur, and spectacular light and sound shows using AR and VR will be featured at major sites to offer immersive historical journeys.

Celebrating women’s empowerment, the upcoming Teej festival will feature women-led stalls and events. Special training programmes will also be rolled out for women becoming tourist guides, supporting their economic independence.

The Tourist Facilitation Centre at Chaura Rasta is set to be revitalised into a vibrant hub for art, culture, and shopping, while Jaipur’s cleanliness and infrastructure will be improved to ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Rajasthan’s new tourism vision is about preserving its traditions while embracing innovation. It’s a commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and unforgettable experiences that will put Rajasthan on the global map as a premier travel destination.
