Built by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), the new route crosses the Mig La Pass and connects the Hanle region with Fukche village near the Line of Actual Control (LAC)

Until now, the route was closed to the public due to security restrictions. Its opening is expected to deliver a dual boost, strengthening connectivity for local communities while creating new opportunities for adventure and eco-tourism
