Air India has announced new interline partnerships with four airlines from emerging markets, boosting access to destinations across Europe and Central Asia. These agreements will enable travellers to reach 16 additional locations across six countries, while also providing easier connections into India for passengers of the partner airlines.

The partnerships with airBaltic, Bulgaria Air, Cyprus Airways and Uzbekistan Airways were announced during the 81st IATA AGM in New Delhi. They allow for seamless travel on a single ticket, with coordinated baggage services, and expand Air India's network, particularly into the Baltic states, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Conversely, Air India will provide convenient access to more than 30 Indian cities to the customers of its four partner airlines, including but not limited to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, and Kochi.

“These four new interline partnerships significantly enhance Air India’s global reach and open seamless pathways to vibrant cities across some of the most important emerging markets of today,” said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India. “Our partnerships with airBaltic, Bulgaria Air, Cyprus Airways, and Uzbekistan Airways, bring more travel options and smoother journeys for our growing base of customers worldwide as well as reinforce India’s rising status as a key global aviation hub.”

This development underscores the airline’s ongoing efforts to enhance its global reach and facilitate travel between these regions and India. Booking options for these connections will gradually become available via Air India’s website, mobile app and travel agents worldwide.
